GMODT’s Music Monday Featuring The Dead Weather

It’s another Monday and you know that means- like it or not, it’s GMODT. Today I have the new indie “super group” called The Dead Weather, a band made-up of members of such groups as The Kills, Queens of The Stone Age, The Raconteurs and most importantly, Jack White from the White Stripes. Yeah, that […]

GMODT’s Music Monday Featuring Issac Hayes

Mention Issac Hayes to people of a certain age and the two reference points you get are probably the “Shaft” theme song and the voice of Chef on South Park. While both those things are pretty great, Issac Hayes had a lot of quality music that doesn’t really fit a specific recognizable niche. GMODT’s Music Monday Featuring El Michels Affair!

I’m sure after the intense “Transformers” fire storm the podcast caused, we all could use some music to unite us once again. Today I present to you the El Michels Affair, who have this decade been either studio musicians or playing back-up to the likes of Amy Winehouse or The Wu-Tang Clan.

You wanted the best, you got the best – It’s your weekly music post by GMODT! Today we have a group called Quiet Village, whose two sole members (Joel Martin and Matt Edwards) are big names in the DJ/dance music scene.

GMODT’s Music Monday Featuring J Dilla

Really, the weekend should have ended so much better. The weather was warm, summer officially arrives next week and I was confident everything was going to come up GMODT. But last night ended in a hospital waiting room and the L.A. Lakers winning another NBA title.

GMODT’s Music Monday (Holiday Edition) featuring Oasis

It’s a special Tuesday edition of GMODT nation, don’t think I forgot about you! Today we have the one and only Oasis, who just so happen to be the authors of the first CD I ever bought! That would be “Definitely Maybe”, their first album in 1994.

GMODT’s Music Monday featuring Chillout Music

Today kids, we sloooooow it up. Stress got you down? Still pumped up from last weeks post (and sexy boots)? Then I think I have just the thing for you… some songs from mellow chillout artists like “Kid Loco” and “Thunderball”, and to class it up, the last track from Miles Davis’ “Kind of Blue”.
