Colorado – Oregon Lacrosse Photos: Professional Grade
Colorado took down Oregon just a little earlier this week 11-8 at a somewhat neutral site (Lake Oswego HS in Oregon). Colorado is obviously a very good team and the fact that they were able to travel out of state, take on an improving Oregon team that hung tough for almost the entire game, and win by a couple goals in hostile territory means good things for the Buffs.
The specter of rain hung over the beginning of the game, but the lacrosse Gods allowed this one to be played in dry conditions. Considering what Oregon did against Michigan in a downpour, I’m sure the Buffs were happier that it stayed dry. The Oregon fans came out in force, although there was good deal of support for Colorado as well.
Colorado takes on Arizona in their next game and currently sit at 7-1. Oregon drops to 4-6 and with 5 games left, they’re going to have to win 4 of them for me to think they have any business in Denver. 8-7 is a minimum expectation. This means no slip ups against San Diego State, Portland State and rival Oregon State. It also means they have to beat either Simon Fraser (who is also struggling and will need wins at 2-5) or Cal Poly, and the boys from San Luis Obispo look like they’re flying high right now.
I’d love to report some stats, things of note, stuff like that, but the MCLA is still pretty slow when it comes to that stuff. For the most part, anyway. Baby steps. Instead we’ll just drop a whole bunch of unreal photos on you! Karl Kuchs, of Kuchs Photography sent over some truly great shots from this spirited game and gave me a nice little run down on the action. If I lived in Oregon, there is no way I would have missed this one! I don’t know, maybe I would have faked a fender bender or something, or called in sick. Too good to miss!
Thanks Karl! These photos were legit!
