Congratulations To The Weston HS Wildcats – Massachusetts State Champs!

Weston High School in Massachusetts is a first-time State Champion! But this win means a little something extra for a certain member of the LAS crew!

State Champs!

We’ve never made an announcement like this on LaxAllStars before, even though Jeff’s Alma Mater (and team he was an assistant coach for this year!), Bishop Kelly in Idaho won their state championship.  But still, big shoutout to Weston High School in Weston, Massachusetts.  They won the Division III State Championship over Dover-Sherborn today, and as someone who played on the first team ever at Weston, I couldn’t be prouder!

Up 4-2 on D-S.

Coach Jim Wilcon has turned the program from a perennial middling team into a monster and their 20-2 record (only two losses came to Concord-Carlisle) shows just that.  Like I said, couldn’t be prouder of the current coaches and players.  These kids just turned my dream into their reality.  Great stuff!  When I was at Weston, the HS won a lot of state championships, but NEVER in boys’ lacrosse.  Well, the times, they are a-changin’!
