BEWARE! Connor Wilson Lacrosse Scam In Progress!

There is someone out there pretending to be me, and emailing people in the lacrosse world. I don’t know what’s going on here, but it’s not on the up and up, and there is a potential Connor Wilson Lacrosse Scam going down right now using my name, and I’m not thrilled about it. While I care about my reputation, I am much more concerned that people out there might get ripped off.

Please share this post so no one is fooled!

Connor Wilson Lacrosse Scam

I was recently forwarded an email from a lacrosse community member I’ve known for a year or two, and in the email he forwarded, I had offered to give his program 50 sets of sticks if he sent me info on his program.

Here is the problem… it wasn’t my email, I never sent that note, and I have no idea who did.

The email was sent from laxallstarsusa@yahoo.com and they even provide a cell phone number with a Boston area code that is VERY similar to mine. I have received scam calls from this number before. But again, it is NOT mine.

Here is the text of the email:

I hope all is well. I met you this past summer at a Lacrosse Tournament. I work for Laxallstar’s. We were looking to hook you up with a equipment donation for upwards of 50 kids. Please submit your a letter stating what LI Urban Lacrosse does and your goals/uses for the 50 sets of equipment. We look forward to hearing back from you.
All the Best,
Connor Wilson
Terrible grammar and completely asinine generalities aside, THIS IS NOT AN EMAIL FROM ME. Period.

I want to see the lacrosse community grow, and do so together. That’s what LaxAllStars is all about. I may never find out who is pretending to be me out there, but I want people to know what’s going on. Grow The Game is real, and not something that should be used to scam people, but that day has come. BEWARE!

I will update this post with any further info I receive, and if you know something, say something. I would greatly appreciate it. So far I only know of one instance, and I am not worried about myself, but my fear is that others may have been contacted as well, and I don’t want anyone to get duped.
