Welcome to the final Top 20 polls from myself and Ryan Conwell. It’s been a blast voting in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, and while we had some fun with it, we also tried to rank teams somewhat seriously. Ranking them too seriously, as we all know, would have been meaningless, and grim.

Ok, if you actually bothered to read this far, I’ll let you in on my pretty obvious methodology. Basically, I ranked teams according to where they finished in the NCAA tournament (1 and 2 were pretty obvious), and then grouped them by where their seasons ended, and them ranked the teams according to my own whims within their finishing group. It’s far from scientific, but it works.
That is why Hofstra, Rutgers, and Army are likely well below teams they could/would/did beat. They didn’t make the NCAA cut, so they were the last three. It’s harsh, but please remember, this means little to nothing and is only for fun.
Look at Conwell throwing Providence in there #19. I actually like that. Also look at where he put Cuse and where I put Cuse. Not shocked that I’m not shocked on that one. Also, totally fair.
I think not ranking Bryant is a little unfair, but who knows. They were great at times, and not so great at others.
Whatever, it’s done and Maryland won it all. That’ll do!
