Tufts took down Salisbury 12-9 to claim the 2014 NCAA Division 3 Men’s Lacrosse title. The Gulls of SU went down 1-0 on an early Tufts goal, but would build up an early 3-1 lead, and look in control. Tufts fought back, winning face offs and creating transition and the game was tied at half, 5-5. Tufts began to inch away in the third quarter, and eventually built up a solid lead. Scoring 3 goals in 48 seconds never hurts.

Salisbury made a push to get back in it, but the Jumbos would hold on and secure the 12-9 win, as neither team scored many goals in the fourth quarter, although plenty of chances were created. Tufts claimed its second title in five years, in their third trip to the title game in the same time period, and they did so without 80 goal scorer Chris Schoenhut, who was injured in their semifinal against RIT.

Congrats to the Tufts Jumbos on their 2014 NCAA D3 Lacrosse Championship!
