The St. Michael’s Lacrosse Team (NCAA D2) was on a bus that crashed and tipped over in New York State today. I’m getting word that the players and staff are all ok, and are recovering at a local firehouse.
The team was on their way to Long Island to play Mercy tomorrow.
Early eye witness accounts indicate that a speeding car ahead of, or next to, the bus may have caused the crash.
Here is a quote from one of the guys involved:
It was nuts being in a bus on its side, it reminded me of a crazy movie scene
We wish the best to all involved in the crash, and hope everyone emerges healthy and uninjured. We will keep you updated as this story develops.
UPDATE: It appears one of the occupants of the car may have perished in the three car crash.
