Who is Dan Dawson?
If you thought last week’s guests were scary, we highly recommend avoiding stepping indoors with Dangerous Dan Dawson. At 38 years old, Dawson is one of the elder statesmen of professional lacrosse still strapping it up for war each weekend. Although the season was cut short due to the coronavirus, Dawson just signed a two-year deal to latch him to his hometown team of the Toronto Rock in 2020.
In 2019, Dawson appearing in all 18 games with San Diego, collecting 29 goals, 59 assists and 88 points in his 19th season. Now in year 20, and with a new team, he still managed to rack up 17 goals in the 10 games he got in 2020. Dawson has used his 6’6” frame to power his way to become one of the greatest scorers the NLL has ever seen.

One of the few American’s to hold a job in the NLL, Mitch Belisle is only a novice when it comes to the knowledge and expertise of Canadian lacrosse legend Dan Dawson. Although they shared the floor many times over their careers, it’s been since the Boston Blazers final days in 2011 that they shared a bench.
