Game Photos: NYC Box Lacrosse

The NYC Box Lacrosse League, run by ULAX, encountered wet and dangerous conditions on Saturday, but the games rolled on regardless. Our ref called the games super tight to help us stay under control, and the players all cut each other some additional slack because of the wet concrete playing surface.

A couple of players took some nasty spills, but for the most part, everyone stayed under control, and some of our more physical players definitely dialed their play back in the name of player safety.

Bill Schick, of Schick Studios, came out to photograph the LaxAllStars.comBrooklyn Dodgers game, and I’m glad he did because A) Bill takes amazing photos, and B) it was one heck of a close, back-and-forth game!

LAS ended up taking home yet another one goal win, which puts the home team at 2-1 for the year so far. All three of LAS’ games have been decided by a single goal, and one of those was in OT.

We’ll be back with more info, video and NYC Box Lacrosse action later this week! For more on ULAX’ box league, check out Catherine Conway’s “A Fox In The Hen House” post, last week’s video highlights, and the ULAX stats page.
