Hey kiddos! This week we dropped another Boom Town exclusive and there’s only one way to describe it: EPIC!
This is our first of many attempts to create the most epic sports commercial of all time. We learned some important lessons on being epic and creating killer commercials along the way, so I’ll knock out a little FAQ session.
Making the greatest sports commercial of all time
Here’s the deal: when you’re making the greatest sports commercial of all time. You must reference the greats.
You know, the Gatorades, the Nikes, the Adidases, the Under Armours – peeps like that. Once you identify your competition you need to get them in the crosshairs and take them down.
I think we did just that. We built up some tension with a speech about nothing, shot an athlete in slow motion like he’s the most incredible thing in the world and then boom… he missed, he’s human.
It’s our first try. So we’ll see if it holds the test of time.

Our first ever Steamboat Showdown takes place in Colorado on June 8th. We’re doing the Boom Town Classic (2 point lines and shot clocks) June 27-28 in Boulder, CO. This will be the 4th year in a row. And we’re also bringing that same tourney to West Linn, OR June 20-21.
