Justin Otto: If I Were A Millionaire

I’m sure at some point or another you have thought about what it would be like to suddenly have millions of dollars. Maybe you’ll inherit a huge cash payout or maybe you’ll win the lottery, but whatever the case may be, I know what I would do…

Being the lax junkie that I am, I would build the one thing that New York needs the most right now. No, not another strip club, or carwash, or strip club/carwash. What I’m suggesting is a lacrosse-specific facility; I’m thinking an outdoor field-turf field adjacent to an indoor facility that rivals the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Six Nations, Ontario.

FIELD
Heaven is an indoor facility with no soccer players

Now for those of you who haven’t had the privilege of visiting this lacrosse sanctuary, let me try and explain it to you. It pretty much looks like what I’m sure heaven looks like, because I’m sure that God plays lacrosse. The arena was made JUST FOR LACROSSE. Screw that hockey-rink-converted-to-a-lacrosse-field crap. The floor is 200ft x 85ft surrounded by glass, nets and bleachers. The field itself is concrete with field turf on top. There are a ton of locker rooms and on the upper level is a weight room for training.

I have been a field player all my life until about three years ago when I started playing box. It is probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. I played one of my first box games on this field and it is easily the BEST facility and field I have ever played on!

This is my dream…I want to own and operate an indoor/outdoor LACROSSE facility that is open all year around. There, lacrosse players can train, improve upon their skills, play, and generate more lax junkies like myself. This would be my gift to the world.

No soccer players allowed!

How would you spend your millions?
