Inside Look: Lizards Blow Past Launch 20-11

Last night, the New York Lizards played host to the Florida Launch in a very patriotic pre-4th of July matchup.

The Lizards offense was what we call “On a Roll” last night, combined the team found a way to bury the ball in the net 20 times! The final was 20-11, New York, and it’s almost as if the Launch never took off.

Most East Coasters are fully aware of the insane weather blasting the shores, it was no surprise that at 8:41 pm the game went into a rain delay and it took nearly 2 hours for play to resume.

Taking a page from Rob Pannell’s book, Tommy Palasek found five goals of his own last night, earning him the Coca-Cola Player of the Game. RP3 did tally four goals while Matt Gibson and Jojo Marasco each finished with a hat-trick.

Meanwhile, finding a way to secure a hat-trick, Casey Powell remains as the G.O.A.T. Stephen Keogh scored three goals last night as well, but no one is holding a candle to Casey Powell‘s productivity.

There’s still four more regular season games to get this turkey shoot figured out. Now it’s time to set our focus on the World Games in Denver as the MLL takes a couple week break to allow it’s best to compete in the event!
