Katie Rowan led the US with 8 goals, and 2 assists, for an astounding 10 points. This set a new goals in a game record for the US team, which had previously stood at 7, since 1989. Katrina Dowd added six points of her own on an even 3 goals and 3 assists, while Daniell Atrasco had a hat trick, and Lindsay Munday had a goal and 2 helpers.

Dowd finished her first tournament with 26 goals (and 36 points), which also set a record, besting Quinn Carney’s 2005 showing by a single goal. Canada had three players with two points apiece, but was overmatched offensively.

The US outscored their opponents 127-34, and set records for most goals scored, highest scoring average, and margin of victory. Unlike in other years, 2013 wasn’t even close.
