GMODT’s Music Monday Featuring El Michels Affair!

I’m sure after the intense “Transformers” fire storm the podcast caused, we all could use some music to unite us once again. Today I present to you the El Michels Affair, who have this decade been either studio musicians or playing back-up to the likes of Amy Winehouse or The Wu-Tang Clan.

I’m sure after the intense “Transformers” fire storm the podcast caused, we all could use some music to unite us once again. Today I present to you the El Michels Affair, who have this decade been either studio musicians or playing back-up to the likes of Amy Winehouse or The Wu-Tang Clan.

That’s right, the Wu-Tang Clan needs a house band like any other legendary NYC hip-hop group. Well after playing a few gigs with Wu-Tang, the El Michels Affair decided to record Wu-Tang songs as instrumentals played with live instruments. It may sound odd on paper but the songs work and the sound is pretty organic and authentic.
