Editor’s Note: LaxAllStars.com and BearPaw Lacrosse Events have teamed up for the 2018-19 lacrosse seasons to put a new spotlight on Midwestern lacrosse. We’re kicking the partnership off with a trip to BearPaw’s Great Midwest Shootout in Central Indiana.
Last weekend, BearPaw Lacrosse hosted their 9th installment of the Great Midwest Shootout, a boys and girls 7v7 field tournament wrapped up in one day. 18 or so clubs from Indiana and its surrounding neighbors took on the Indianapolis suburb of Westfield for no less than four games in only a matter of hours. Beautiful Grand Park was up for the task, boasting multiple plush synthetic surfaces for the competition and skies as clear as the eye could see.
Cheap, easy, and effective! $65 got players at least four games, centrally located in the Midwest, on turf, in front of college coaches, with perfect weather. Does it get any better than that? See for yourself…
Congratulations to the fellas from HSE Royals for winning the HS division, the guys from Carmel for the 5/6 and 7/8 grade divisions, and the HS ladies from Valkyrie Lacrosse for taking home that awesome hardware!
