Hot Pot Of Lax: Ft. Lauderdale Lacrosse

Connor Wilson’s last Hot Pot (for the time being) has got the biggest lacrosse news all linked up as well as a little piece on Growing the Game of lacrosse down in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Lacrossewear is making a difference in the lives of the youth. Got to love it.

Bo Lamon finished up his playing career at New England College (which is in New England) as their all-time leading scorer.  Eventually he moved to Florida and turned LacrosseWear into a household name.  He runs the Miami Bump & Grind tourney (only 4 weeks away!), coaches a lot and basically lives the 24-7 lax life.  His latest event is something I can really get behind… Growing The Game!

From LacrosseWear:

It was all about lacrosse on December 4, 2010 at Carter Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Through the collaborative efforts of  National Lacrosse Stars like Doug Shannahan and Chazz Woodson; along  with South Florida Lacrosse Entrepreneur, Bo Lamon; the inner city youth of Fort Lauderdale were treated to a full day of lacrosse. The day began with a free lacrosse clinic for elementary school youth from the inner city areas of Fort Lauderdale and culminated in a  highlight filled game of lacrosse that pitted Woodson’s Miami-Dade 305 Team against Shannahan and the Fort Lauderdale Flamingos.
