Cajun’s Corner – Recruitment Recap, Week 1

Whoa. This “recruitment” thing is real life.

It has been seven days since we (it’s LSU now, people) began a strong push to bring in top tier players to the program. LacrosseRecruits.com has been useful for reaching out to 2012s, 2013s, and 2014s. But I was hoping to make a more immediate impact.

LSU Lax’s President made a wise choice by reserving a table in front of the Student Union during every Freshman Orientation session this summer. Recruitment is too important for me to not attend.

Here’s how we are looking for 2011 tryouts:

1 goalie from Washington DC, who has won 2 WCAC championships in a row, and boasts a 39-5 record for the past two years.  He’s seriously serious.
4 Louisiana All State players
3 Louisiana All Conference Players
5 THSLL (Texas) Division 1 players, one of which was awarded All Conference honors
1 Attackman from Chicago, Illinois

There’s still five Orientation sessions remaining, with the last session being the best attended. LSU doesn’t suck at anything. The LSU lacrosse of years past is just that – the past. We will bring in even more talent, and we will work hard to compete for LSA championships year in and out.
