Game Photos: Tufts Jumbos vs. Stevens Ducks

Hoboken, NJ and the Stevens Tech Ducks played host to the Tufts Jumbos in men’s lacrosse action this past weekend, and it was a HUGE DIII game.  Tufts came in to the game ranked second in the country and Stevens was ranked fourth.  Tufts now sits at 3-0 with two NESCAC wins under their belt, while Stevens sits at 5-1 after the loss.

Tufts - Stevens was a great one!

Stevens seemes to struggle in net a little and made the switch to a freshman keeper in the fourth quarter.  The Ducks did very well on man up opportunities and had a balanced scoring attack.  Tufts is still without Sean Kirwan, who is missing due to an injury.

Some believe that this Tufts team might be even better than their National Championship team in 2010, and with the competition inside the NESCAC looming large, the Jumbos had better be good if they want to get back to the biggest stage in DIII.  The South is being dominated by Salisbury right now, and if a challenger is to emerge, it looks like they will probably come from the North.

The Stevens Offense is tough to corral.

Tufts takes on Stevenson next in another huge OOC game, and once again Tufts will be on the road.  This should be a great game, and the best part about it?  It’s being played TOMORROW, Tuesday Mach 20th!  Nothing like a little early week Top 10 game!
