Lacrosse GIFs: National Lacrosse League Week 5

Hey there, sports fans! It’s time once again for Lacrosse GIFs! We take five of the most monumental moments from the last week of lacrosse action and try to describe them in one GIF. Hilarity ensues. General merriment and lacrosse cheer breaks out. Things such as world peace and world hunger are solved. You get the idea.

This week we are featuring five moments from Week 5 of the National Lacrosse League (and no, we won’t be doing a GIF on the comments made towards Lyle Thompson. That wouldn’t be appropriate). Top moments include a whirlwind of official reviews from the past weekend (particularly in the Philadelphia game), the first-ever NLL goal on San Diego turf and Dillon Ward’s impressive performance against the Rock.

So, let’s dive in…

Lacrosse GIFs: NLL Week 5

No. 1: Official Reviews for Philadelphia

Philadelphia just couldn’t catch a break. They came out on the wrong end of several official reviews, including these two:

This Lacrosse GIF was a fairly good summation of the Wings’ night:

No. 2: Go to a Fight and a Lacrosse Game Breaks Out. Or Something Like That…

I personally haven’t seen very many fights break out this season, which is a good or a bad thing depending on your perspective. Well, one happened during the Black Wolves game involving New England’s Colton Watksinson and Calgary’s Greg Harnett. See the fight here:

It seemed to be lacking a bit though…:

No. 3: Tyler Digby Dishes Beautiful Behind-The-Back Assist

Staying in the Black Wolves vein, Tyler Digby put down a well-placed behind-the-back pass for the easy goal against the Roughnecks. Video of the goal here:

Jim Carrey thought it was a great pass, too:

No. 4: And the First Goal on San Diego Turf Goes To…

The San Diego Seals won their home opener in spectacular fashion, sealing the game late for the 12-10 win. This was the first-ever NLL win in San Diego for the Seals.

Among a night of many firsts, was this goal by Adrian Sorichetti:

The man who will now forever be known as an answer to ‘Lacrosse Trivia’ will now live on in infamy:

No. 5: Dillon Ward Blocks Shots, People On Twitter and Just About Everywhere Else You Can Imagine:

Dillon Ward played an incredible game on Saturday night, facing a barrage of shots from the Roughnecks offense. Ward finished with 57 saves on 68 shots on goal, which was good for an impressive .834 save percentage. After struggling earlier in the year, it looks like Ward is back to his old form:
