Welcome to the wood shop, everybody. Today, we’re going to talk about the LASNAI Sportsmanship Award. So, I was talking to Conor Wilson, and I wanted to see if there was anything that he needed one of my sticks for, because I’m not actually making it to LASNAI this year. The talent there is really top notch and I just keep getting hurt every single time I go out there. I had like an ongoing fear that I’m gonna get so damaged that I can’t come do the thing I love most, which is bending and making lacrosse sticks, and to be honest, I’m not that great of a player anyway, so it’s not like anyone’s super bummed that I’m not gonna be on their team.
So, I got to make this Sportsmanship Award. I was incredibly surprised, because I’m very excited about how much I love this cursive script. I have been averse to putting cursive on anything, the entire time. This is the first time in about 2 decades that I have voluntarily put any cursive on anything, and its super, super sharp. It’s the only thing that LAX All Stars wanted on the stick. They didn’t want their logo or anything like that, so just a simple, crimson “SPORTSMANSHIP” on a very, very nice Box Pro. I had Rich pick out the best one we had in the shop.
To everyone out there playing in LASNAI this year, I want to say good luck, and safe travels to and from the event, and of course, safe play. Til next time, take care. Keep LAXin’.
