LASNAI: Team No. 12 Announced!

We are nearing the end of the suspense, and almost at tournament time, so we’re dropping team number 12 on you now. Who do we have lined up as the team that makes it an even dozen? This year’s Can-Am Champions, the…

The Native Sons!

The Native Sons operate out of Cattaraugus, and play their home games on the beautiful purple turf at the Cattaraugus Community Center. I’ve been out there, and it’s an amazing facility. Does that give the Native Sons an advantage for the LASNAI? They are used to playing in an amazing facility, and we’re hosting this event at another absolutely stunning venue, so maybe!

Much more likely, it will be their play on the floor that impresses and garners the Native Sons points, and this franchise has plenty of talent, all over the floor. They won the 2016 Can-Am playoffs, and earned the right to represent the league in the President’s Cup. The Native Sons did well there as well, finishing fourth.

Oh, and did I mention that this team has only been around for two years? In that short amount of time, they have amassed an impressive 37-11-1 record, with two Can-Am title series appearances to their name, and one title. They’ll be looking to add to those 37 wins at the LASNAI, you can be sure of that!

I haven’t seen their roster yet, but if Angus Laborgne, Joe Montour, Nick Snow, Jamie McComber, Cody Pembleton, and Danny Jimerson play, the Native Sons should have no problem scoring goals. I’m also REALLY hoping they wear their all-yellow uniforms. I’m a sucker for yellow.
