Live By Faith Actions

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough. – Meister Eckhart

If anyone can tell you the shortest, surest way to all happiness and perfection, he must tell you to make it a rule to yourself to thank and praise God for everything that happens to you, for it is certain that whatever seeming calamity happens to you, if you thank and praise God for it, you turn it into a blessing. – William Law

There are three faith actions that I have found to be very helpful in my life.

Smile when there seems to be no reason to smile.
Give when you can least afford to give.
Give thanks even when everything around you seems to be falling apart.
I call them faith actions because in by nature they requires us to trust that there’s a reason for the moment. It require us to step outside of what’s in the here and now and trust that something great is going to come of this moment. At some point in time (more than a few points for most of us) there’s going to be a moment that, on the surface, is far less than favorable. When that time arrives, we’ll be forced to decide whether we’ll fight it, and place our faith in the idea that we can beat it. Or we’ll have to place our faith in the fact that it’s leading to something better. Either way, we give thanks.

If we can beat it, then we should give thanks that we’re strong enough, and well equipped to do so.

If not, we give thanks that it’s building us up for something better down the road.

Make it a GREAT day!

Stay blessed.
