What a place!

10:45 AM – Back in our hotel rooms on the 10th floor, packing our stuff up for an 11AM check out. We’re leaving the hotel by 11:30 and heading to Payu’s place to drop off our luggage. After that we’ll drive 1.5 hours or so to a beach town called Pattaya.

11:30AM – Checkout complete. Now in a van on our way to Payu’s.

6:15PM – The jet skiers return with wave damage.

6:16-6:45PM – The renters want payment of 100,000 baht and Payu is called in to help negotiate. This is what happens when you let an Aussie, a German and an Indiana Hoosier go on an adventure together. Luckily Payu gets cost down to 12,000 baht and all is right with the world. For a minute there we thought young Dan H was going to be confiscated from the group as payment.

8:15PM – Leaving dinner and Payu decides to share a little bit more Pattaya culture with us. We go for a quick stroll down Walking Street.

8:45PM – Dan H nearly gets robbed while walking with his wallet in hand (Kidding). Rory saves the day.

11:00PM – Back at Payu’s eating Thai snacks and having one last drink as a group. Four of us are catching the 6:05am flight to Tokyo to SFO tomorrow morning. I can’t say I’m looking forward to 22 more hours on a plane! Then again, it’s totally worth it. What a wonderful experience this has been.
