Roy Colsey Vs. The Dive

Major League Lacrosse’s Championship Game in 2003 was incredibly physical. While 2004 also showcased two tough teams, what really stood out was Roy Colsey’s epic shooting day, and the Cannons’ Michael Watson pulling out the most acrobatic assisted dive shot goal of all-time.

The Philadelphia Barrage won the game 13-11, and it was the first time that Long Island and Baltimore hadn’t been the two teams to make the finals. Greg Cattrano, Philly’s goalie, was named MVP of the game.

The rocking song in the video is “Finishing Moves” by Love You To Death. Their music can be purchased on their website.

For more, check out last week’s Traditional Thursday, which features MLL Championship Weekend present by Smartlink goals, scored with traditional sticks from 2001-2003. We also have a great hit and a goal sequence featuring Casey Powell from 2001 in this week’s Throwback Thursday, AND a little compare and contrast where we pit Mark Millon against Casey Powell in 2002. Kevin Finneran prefers Powell’s but that’s because he scored the goal. It’s fair.
