Living From A Merry Heart

Happy Hump Day, ladies and gentlemen!

From Mary Morrisey’s, The Miracle Minute

Not long ago I was speaking with a group of people who have been doing the recent research on gratitude from a scientific point of view.

All the new research from Harvard and Penn State and every other prestigious university that is doing research on the power of gratitude – what does it do to the brain, the pheromones, all the good chemicals that are released, what happens in our bodies and our immune system – proves that there is scientific evidence that gratitude has positive medical benefits.

It shows that choosing to live from a place of gratitude, paying attention to what you can be grateful for, giving thanks on a daily basis, repeatedly and regularly is really good for our health.

More than that, it moves us into a stream of our genius. People who are grateful attract to themselves more ideas, more support, more resources. Their relationships work better. I think that maybe scripture knew what it was saying to us thousands of years ago when it was written, “A merry heart doeth good, like medicine.

So my friend, let’s choose today to live from a merry heart. Instead of putting our attention on what’s wrong, we put our attention on what’s right and we say “Thank you God for this life. Thank You God for this day.” Make it a merry one.

Make it a GREAT day!

Stay blessed.
