Mann Cup Highlights: Game 1 & Game 2

We’ve got Mann Cup Highlights from BOTH Game 1 AND Game 2!

It’s exciting, fast-paced box lacrosse, and so far, the series has more than lived up to its billing. Currently, the best-of-seven series is tied at 1 game apiece, and neither the Victoria Shamrocks nor the Peterborough Lakers look like favorites right now. The only prediction I feel comfortable making right now is that we’re going to see at least three more awesome games of lacrosse! What better way to kick off your Sunday than with Mann Cup Highlights? That’s a solid Sunday.

Mann Cup Highlights – Game 1

Peterborough and Victoria battled back and forth in Game 1, and while the Lakers took early leads in the game, Victoria had a big third period, and took the initial game by an 8-6 score. Rhys Duch notched two big goals, and Corey Small had a goal and four assists. Cory Conway scored the final empty net goal for Victoria, and added three assists before that tally. Aaron Bold made 40 saves in the win, and Victoria kept their undefeated playoff run intact. These Mann Cup Highlights are excellent!

Mann Cup Highlights – Game 2

Victoria’s undefeated playoff run would come to a close in Game 2, as Peterborough brought their firepower to town, and won in convincing fashion, 14-7. Curtis Dickson and Adam Jones both went off, scoring four and three goals respectively. Dickson and Jones also each added three assists, to total up for 13 points. 5 other players combined for the Lakers’ remaining seven goals and Matt Vinc made 35 big saves in net.

I could watch good Mann Cup Highlights all day. Thankfully, we get at least three more of these this month!

Mann Cup Moving Forward

Mann Cup games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. All games will start at 7pm PT. If neither teams sweeps the next three games, the series will be extended into later in the week.

Here is a link to the webcasts:

Adam Jones will miss the next four games for the Lakers, and that is a big loss. Peterborough does have a deep bench, and plenty of offensive talent, but Jones has been a force, and is one of the best in the game. It’s a loss for sure, but Jones is starting up the teaching year this week, and the kids come first. We love lacrosse as much as the next guys, but it’s great to see Jones with his priorities in the right place! #ForTheKids

Expect Aaron Bold to be back on top of his game for the next couple contests, and expect more great lacrosse. There is no way this thing is done in 5 games. The Mann Cup Highlights roll on!
