I’m a touch late to give you the glorious Mascot Bracket and that’s my fault. My bad, everyone. Since our artist pal Jim Fenzel sent this in, Bryant took down Monmouth, 16-10, to earn their spot against Maryland in the first round. The play-in is over and we’re officially down to 16 teams for the May dance. I ask that you mentally erase the wings from a certain canine illustrated down below. You’ll see what I mean.
Anyway, we went Back to the Mountain with Fenzel earlier this week, but the climb is over and the party is just about to get started.

When it comes to stance, Hopkins is looking pretty open to take one in the chin from Duke. That is if the Blue Devil’s arms could reach. Fighting a bird in any case would be an absolute mess. I probably wouldn’t put my money on Cuse in a real rumble. A giant, soft head is no match for a Bulldog. At least a Buckeye is hard as a rock and poisonous to most.
Back to reality, Fenzel has been perfecting some of these guys all season and it’s fun to look at things like this. It’s going to be even more fun to watch these games over the weekend!
