Michigan took a 6-3 lead into halftime, and went on to beat Marquette, 14-6, in a preseason scrimmage, hosted at Michigan’s Oosterbaan Field House. Photos and details inside.

Michigan took a 6-3 lead into halftime, and went on to beat Marquette, 14-6, in a preseason scrimmage, hosted at Michigan’s Oosterbaan Field House. Willie Steeland led Michigan with 3 goals and an assist, while Kyle Jackson and Tom Sardelli added two goals apiece for the Wolverines. Kyle Whitlow had 3 goals for Marquette, and Tyler Melnyk had 2 goals an a helper for 3 points.

Michigan held a slight edge in shots (39-36), saves (16-11), and ground balls (36-35). Both teams had 19 turnovers, and Marquette held a slight edge in face offs, 13-11. Marquette got two of their goals on man up (2 for 2), while UMich went 0-3 on the day. Marquette opened the scoring, and Michigan answered, scoring the next 5 goals.
