MLL Players Of The Week: Week 6
This week’s MLL Players of the Week are Lyle Thompson and Liam Byrnes, each who were named the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Offensive Player of the Week

Lyle Thompson was named the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week after scoring ten goals and dropping four assists in two games last week. The Bayhawks were defeated by Denver 14-13 on July 4th (see photos from the game here), but bounced back against the Blaze on Saturday. This is Thompson’s second Player of the Week award, the first of which came during during Week 3.
Defensive Player of the Week
Liam Byrnes of the Atlanta Blaze garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors as he tallied nine ground balls and caused six turnovers. The Blaze lost to the Bayhawks on Saturday, but managed to rebound as they defeated the New York Lizards.
Rookie of the Week

This week’s Rookie of the Week was none other than Will Snider. Snider scored the game-winning goal against the Chesapeake Bayhawks on July 4 to give Denver the 14-13 win in front of over 26,000 fans. The goal was his second of the contest. This is Snider’s first Rookie of the Week honor this season.
