MLL Week 6 Recap

Denver Outlaws – 14, Chesapeake Bayhawks – 13

In this game that was played in front of over 26,000 fans, the Outlaws managed to take down Lyle Thompson’s Bayhawks at home on the 4th of July. Denver used some fourth quarter fireworks to mount a comeback and eventually seal the victory when Will Snider beat Niko Amato with minutes remaining in the game.

Lyle Thompson led all scorers with five goals. The Outlaws now sit at 5-1 while the Bayhawks have a 2-2 record.

Dillon Ward also made this ridiculous stop:

Chesapeake Bayhawks – 16, Atlanta Blaze – 13

In what was the Bayhawks second game in three days, Chesapeake won a grudge match against Atlanta as the Blaze had beaten them the previous week 19-10.

Lyle Thompson once again had five goals on the day, as Chesapeake would score ten of their goals in the first half, Thompson would become the league leader in goals after this performance.

Boston Cannons – 15, Dallas Rattlers – 11

A winless Rattlers team heading into this matchup was looking for redemption. However, they would find no sympathy from Boston, as the Cannons blasted the Rattlers in front of Dallas’ home crowd.

Eight different scorers registered points for the Cannons, as they improved to 4-1 on the season while the Rattlers stayed winless at 0-6.

Atlanta Blaze – 12, New York Lizards – 11

In a true back-to-back for the Blaze, Atlanta burned the Lizards for 12 points in their win on Sunday. The game was neck-and-neck for the entirety of the game, as each quarter saw the score all-tied up at the end of the period until Atlanta managed to pull away in the fourth.
