Editor’s Note: The records listed for each NCAA conference are based on the Monday through Sunday schedule of the previous week.
Things are heating up in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge once again, and it’s about to get even more interesting for our NCAA Conference Comparisons. After Syracuse beat Hopkins, and their previous win of Notre Dame over Maryland, things are shifting towards the ACC for head to head. UVA gets Hopkins in a week, ‘Cuse has Rutgers this week, and Notre Dame is about to get both Michigan and Ohio State. There are more NCAA games on the horizon, but the ACC might be taking control of this table soon.

The Ivy League also made a big climb in our Conference Comparison despite Cornell’s loss to Penn State. They are officially at .500, which is a major win for the Ancient Eight (minus Columbia). The SoCon also continue to fall, reinforcing the exception that High Point is in that league. The biggest shakeup, though is at the bottom of the Conference Comparison. Pairing up Utah’s surprise start with Albany’s virtual collapse means the Independents have a better winning percentage than the America East. That is definitely not something I would have expected.
As always, here are the past two years for reference.
