Is it spring yet? No? Just checking.

Even though the throes of winter are still fully upon us, the college lacrosse season is literally right around the corner. D1 teams will be playing games in no time as the season presses ever earlier. When do we see a game in December? That’s what I want to know.

To get you prepped, here is a News and Video Explosion!

Petro Talks About Jeremy Huber

This is a tough one. Our thoughts are with the Hopkins family and the Huber family right now.

Belichik At Wesleyan

Amanda Belichik, yes, the daughter of Bill, is the head coach for Wesleyan’s women’s lacrosse team. Both she and her father went to the school and played lacrosse there. Now she’s looking to turn her alma mater’s program back around. How will she do it? The Belichik way!

Helping Is SO Easy – Finland U19

There is a finance company in Finland that is giving out a monthly grant to support different projects. People vote on it and the winner gets funding. Pretty simple. The Finland U19 women’s team is in the running this month, but they could use an extra push. Give it to them!

All you have to do is vote, you don’t even have to spend any money.

Here is a note I got from a team supporter:

The website is in Finnish but it’s easy to vote:
Click this link: https://hyviatekoja.fi/…/suomen-naisten-u19-maajoukkue-lacro…
and press “äänestä” in the right corner with Facebook and Twitter. The website does not post anything to your walls. It is just to make sure that everybody votes once. The voting ends at the end of the month.

Make it happen.

Remember When Highlights Were Highlights?

Man, this is over the top stuff! Tons of slow-mo, names flashing on screen, EDM blasting… this is not the lacrosse I know, but whatever, US Lacrosse. Look at you, all hip now. Are you moving into a loft building soon? Seriously though, these players are ridiculous so you do need slow-mo to really see what they do. Great video from the Champions Challenge!

LaxCon Video Rewind

There is surely more to come, but below you can find a ton of video from LaxCon 2015… and don’t miss Mark’s 11 Things I learned at LaxCon post! Great video there too!

That happened.

That also happened. TLN replaced me with Joe. Ouch? C’est la vie.

That’s a wrap for this week. Check back next week for another News and Video Explosion courtesy of LAS!
