Noelle Lambert: Now Scoring One Legged

Have you heard of Noelle Lambert? Why do you need to know her name? Because she’s a true, real life example of what a hero looks like. She’s the definition of determination and grit. It all started when Lambert was in a moped accident in July of 2016 and has been working her way back to the field which happened to be last Saturday. In her first game back, she scored a goal with 49 seconds left in the first half against Hartford.

“When she said my name, I was just like, ‘What? What are we talking about?” said Lambert, who had received NCAA approval to play with a prosthesis several weeks earlier, but didn’t know for sure if Saturday, April 7 would be the day Medeiros put her back on the field.

Noelle Lambert, you’re our hero!

No. 4 Denver showed it belongs in the national championship discussion with a 22-6 beatdown of No. 7 Villanova. Goal of the game goes to Pioneers attackman Ethan Walker at the 2:45 mark.
