That Old Lacrosse Head: Old Pocket, Quick Fix Tutorial

Welcome to and Old Pocket, Quick Fix edition of That Old Lacrosse Head! I show you how to convert any old tennis racket traditional into a much more use friendly six shooter. It’s quick, easy, and results in a great pocket! If you want to learn how to string a six shooter from scratch, check out our tutorial for that, here.

This is a really easy way to salvage an older, shallow pocket, while keeping the integrity of the original string job very much intact. If the leathers are still good, then you’re really lucky. If they’re super stiff, try oiling them up with baby oil. If the pocket is in shambles, you’re better off just restringing the whole thing. But if the bones are there, you can make it work!
