Paul Rabil Skips a Ball Across the Baltimore Inner Harbor

The throw the seen around the world is coming from none-other than Paul Rabil himself. This week, Warrior athletes Paul and Drew Westervelt hit the snowy streets of Baltimore to see if they could use the ice taking over the city’s historic Inner Harbor to aid them in throwing a lacrosse ball across the water.

Paul and Drew slapped on the GoPros, had a quick pier to pier warmup and then went to work. The result: viral lacrosse goodness.

Now I haven’t received an official measurement, but it appears that the ball travels around 1,000 feet, which is over 333 yards! I don’t know if the water was frozen all the way across or not and I know that the ice can really help the ball carry momentum, but holy crap that’s 3 full lacrosse fields!

The video has only been live for 48 hours and with only the aid of a little hype on Paul’s accounts this video is taking off like wildfire.

ESPN, Washington Post, USA Today, BroBible, Vice Sports, SB Nation and so many others have been sharing the video and talking about unfathomable rip across a relatively huge body of water.

I’m not sure what’s going on at the end with Westy and what looks like to be some sort of property manager, but what I do know is that getting these balls from point A to point B was no easy feat. Hats off to Paul and Drew, two Baltimore boys who successfully passed across the city’s Inner Harbor.

Make sure to follow Paul on Twitter, Instagram and subscribe on YouTube because you’ll never know what this larger than life athlete will do next!
