Paul Rabil – Talking Pockets

Paul Rabil spent an hour with me a couple weeks ago talking about lacrosse, and his path to stardom, but we didn’t cover his pocket… or did we?

Talking Pockets! Paul Rabil spent an hour with me a couple weeks ago talking about lacrosse, his path to stardom, and so much more, but we didn’t cover his pocket all that much… or did we?

It turns out, I actually did ask Paul Rabil to talk about his pocket, and what he says is endlessly interesting! Paul talks about natural whip, his stringing set up, and the ONE THING that holds most kids back from having a great pocket in their lacrosse stick.

Check out Paul’s stick, listen to his pocket wisdom, and then try to steal his pattern, and try out his pocket for yourself! Or just listen and learn. Either way you should know that Paul Rabil does NOT use waxed mesh. I could tell you which brand he DOES use, but what would be the fun in that? Offer up your best guess… it will probably be correct!
