PLL Week 2 Preview-THINGS ARE HEATING UP

Week 1 one of the PLL didn’t disappoint and we have a feeling that week 2 will be even better. Ryan breaks down each matchup ahead of this weekends games.

THINGS ARE HEATING UP IN ATLANTA – PLL WEEK 2 PREVIEW

Friday June 11th 7pm ET – Peacock

Chaos vs. Waterdogs

This is an interesting game. The Chaos will need a huge bounce back game after last week. They seemed to play better in the 2nd half in week one and let’s hope that carries over into week 2. Blaze Riordan seems to be up to his usual antics and is a steadying presence for the Chaos in goal. Josh Byrne is a stud, but it will take a huge effort in the middle of the field and at the faceoff X to have a chance in this one. The Waterdogs are a team that will give everyone fits this year, but will be without Michael Sowers whose out after that vicious hit in week one. This will be a good one to start the weekend!

Saturday June 12th 12pm ET – NBC, Peacock

Whipsnakes vs. Cannons

The leagues best team and defending champions vs. the leagues best player and newest franchise. This is going to be a great to be showcased on NBC. The Whips have picked up right where they left off and cruised to victory in week one. The challenge this weekend for the Cannons is to slow down the attack and win faceoffs. Paul Rabil showed tremendous ability in week one and looks like a man on a mission. If he can continue to play at the level he’s at, the Cannons offense will be a lot to handle.

Saturday 3PM ET – NBCSN, Peacock

Redwoods vs. Atlas

Another team in need of a huge bounce back this weekend is the Atlas. While we know they have a Dynamic offense, we cannot deny that the defense had a tough outing last week. This team went through some drastic changes so it may take some time to see them really come together. Facing off won’t be an issue, but they’re running into a Redwoods team that is fresh off of a 2-0 weekend and feeling pretty good about where they are at right now in this early season. Rob Pannell looks like the Rob Pannell of old and TD Ierlan has fit in seamlessly to the Redwoods team. This is team loaded with offensive firepower. The battle at the X will be huge for both teams. The Atlas defense will be tested early and often so buckle up for a fun game to watch.

Sunday June 13th 1pm – ET – NBCSN, Peacock

Waterdogs vs Chrome

This is going to be an interesting game. The Chrome are looking to get in the win column and improve on what they did in Week One. They did have some off the field issues to deal with and were active on the waiver wire so we will see how that plays into everything. They are strong at the X and in goal and if they do those things well on Sunday they’ll have a great shot at taking down the Waterdogs. Both of those areas they struggled a bit in week One as Colin Farrell and Dillon Ward didn’t have their greatest outings, but both have always seemed to bounce back with more success the following week. The Waterdogs playing two games in three days in the Atlanta heat may take its toll, but we will have to wait and see on Sunday.

3:45PM – ET – Peacock

Chaos vs Archers

The Archers have some firepower on offense and that will be on full display Sunday. Who do the Chaos pole? That’s going to be the question all season, as the Archers put on a clinic in week one. On offense the Chaos will to get their midfield more involved in the scoring. Josh Byrne is a human highlight reel, but they’re going up against Adam Ghitelman who had a monster 81 pct save percentage in week one. The Archers defense is giving him shots he can see and the offense is playing unselfish lacrosse. That combination can be lethal against a team that has to play two games in three days.

This is going to be an exciting week two in the PLL. Make sure you tune in and see all of the action and check back for our Week 2 recap!
