Reason Enough To Give

To what or to whom are you contributing today, outside of what is required by your life circumstance?

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!

To what or to whom are you contributing today, outside of what is required by your life circumstance? As high school students, we are often required to complete a certain number of community service hours. In leadership positions, we may be required to help somebody younger or new to our team, program, organization, company to develop or get acclimated. As parents we contribute to our kids’ lives, financially and otherwise. There are numerous ways, that we could be called on each day to give of our time and talents; our effort and our energy. Often, they are built in to whatever else we are doing. So how are we using our time and talents, effort and energy to contribute to something that has no direct relation to us?

As stated by John Bunyon, “you have not lived today until you done something for someone who can never repay you.”

It’s not so much about the person, or the repayment. We need not know the recipient of our giving, and we need not even like the person or cause. Money does not have to be the giving mechanism. It’s about giving because we have already received. That’s reason enough to give. Time, effort, energy, talents, shoulders, and ears are acceptable.

Make it a GREAT day!

Stay blessed.

Credit the ball boy with an assist

Remember the long delays searching through bushes for a ball that went out of bounds while a supposed "ball boy" sat on his butt and looked at butterflies off in the distance? Not when this kid is on duy.  He'll inbound that ball so fast your head will spin.

Spotted: Chicago Bears Furry Huaraches

The Chicago Bears just missed out on the NFL playoffs this season, but while they were playing, wide receiver Brandon Marshall was wearing some awesome custom Huarache 4s. Is that fur inside? If I played ball somewhere as cold as the Windy City, then I'd want that fur in my cleats too.
