It’s been two years since Brendan Looney, a former DeMatha and Navy lacrosse player, was killed in Afghanistan when the helicopter he was riding in crashed. The world may seem like it is on fire at times, and Brendan was one of the guys trying to put out the flames, who lost his life while serving his country.

We send out our most heartfelt condolences again, on this 2nd anniversary, to the Looney, DeMatha, and Navy families. We will always hold Brendan’s memory close, we will remember the sacrifices he made, and we will never forget what a great man he is.

Spotted: Lacrosse Stick in PBS Sherlock TV Show

After hearing from friends how good Sherlock is, I finally started watching the PBS Masterpiece series this summer. It's a great show, and even though there are only three episodes in each mini-season, Sherlock delivers in this modern adaptation of the great detective Sherlock Holmes and his main man John Watson. And guess what? Sherlock finds a lacrosse stick in an episode.
