Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
As we near the end of the month, make sure to take a minute to reflect. Much the same as we might do at the end of the day, there’s value in looking back at the things that we wanted or expected to accomplish, the habits that we worked to build or drop, the relationships that we wanted to grow or leave. Two months ago, many of us made commitments or resolutions – some of us, more than others, with greater intent and determination to actually fulfill them. Some of us have been very successful, some of us have had very little success, and others of us are somewhere in the middle. That’s because all of our goals are different and they all require different circumstances and requirements in order to fulfill them. The two things that we all have in common, however, are time and the ability to choose our effort level.
So what does that mean? Forget about whether or not you were able to do all that you’d set out to do this month. Forget about the fact that you got off track with the goals that you set January 1st. You didn’t attempt these things just to see if they were possible. You set your agenda because you had a vision. Something inspired you. There was something inside you that said, this (whatever it may have been) needs to happen in my life. And it still can. As goes the Chinese proverb:
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
(Re)Plant your tree today. Approach your goal, vision, dream, work, life change with a greater level of effort than you did the first time. Allocate a little (or a lot) more time to what it is that you want. You cannot change the past, but you can certainly determine your future.
Make it a GREAT day!
Stay blessed.
