Stick Trick Saturday: Between the Legs

Editor’s note: Welcome back to Stick Trick Saturday thanks to the unyielding support of Wolf Athletics, one of the most innovative lacrosse companies to join our stable of LAS Partners. LAS Insiders save BIG on the Ghost shaft from Wolf. We hope you enjoy!

Ahh, how glorious it is to be back in Boise bustin’ out some stick tricks for the people! I just got my hands on a brand new Blue Glow Series Ghost shaft from Wolf Athletics and this is my test drive!

There’s a young buck out there that has been makin’ a little hustle for himself and you might know him as Ultimate Lax Life, but we know him as Matt Farley. Matt tagged me in this video a couple weeks back and here’s my answer to Matt’s combo.

Today’s lesson is a 3 Part series followed up by the Farley Combo. I’m not kidding when I say that after getting comfortable with these tricks and getting them on video, I feel like I just had leg day at the gym. The squat position and a lot of flexibility in the knees is key for these tricks.

For the first two, don’t be afraid to lift a leg and make a nice fluid motion with your stick hand. Trying to go to fast and moving jerky is going to result in bad timing and a lack of flow makes it hard to catch the ball with soft hands.

I don’t like to slow down the Farley Combo either. I think it looks better and carries a much better rhythm when I barely stall for a second before send them ball of into a new trick.

Either way, let me know what you guys think of this week’s episode! I need more fan challenges like this one!
