Stick Trick Saturday: Fake Bounce Shot

Colton Raichl of Lacrosse All Stars is paying tribute to the great Matt Gibson by doing the Fake Bounce Shot for this week’s take on Stick Trick Saturday (03/01/2014). The series is designed to be an inspirational guide for lacrosse players to get used to the properties of their own stick. Tricks are not just to show off but to develop a better relationship between the player and his crosse.

The first time I saw Matt Gibson throw this shot fake, I had to learn how to do it.

Unlike other shot fakes, with this one the ball actually leaves your stick. You bounce the ball on the ground, and flick your wrists around so you can catch the ball again.

It is one of the hardest stick maneuvers we have done so practice up!
