Throwback Thursday: College Stars In 2007
Craig Chase has been shooting D1 and MLL games for us, but back in 2007 he was shooting games and producing sweet, sweet photos! One of the events he shot in 2007 was the Crabfest Tournament, and Craig sent over some photos from the event, and they feature a number of guys who just graduated, or are still in college.

Craig Chase departed the confines of Loyola’s Ridley Athletic Complex after the Hounds got eliminated, and got right back to work. The level of play may not be NCAA D1 anymore, but the photos are still great!
Upset Of The Weekend: Albany Knocks Off Loyola
Loyola was the heavy favorite heading in, but that mattered little as Albany started out hot, played composed lacrosse for 60 minutes, and got a superb effort from their defense and goalie, Blaze Riorden. The Danes beat the Hounds 13-6 on the road, and move on to the next round of the NCAA tourney, looking like the hottest team in the country.

The Loyola vs Johns Hopkins rivalry game can no longer be called the “Charles Street Massacre” by anyone in good conscience… it’s simply the “Battle of Charles Street” now, and this battle for Baltimore dominance is only getting better! Loyola wins Patriot League with victories over Colgate, Lehigh
The Loyola Greyhounds are the outright 2014 Patriot League champions! First year members of the league, the Greyhounds wasted no time winning the conference tourney, moving them on to the NCAA Tournament for the 3rd time in 3 years.
Loyola: Undefeated In Patriot League Play
Loyola entered the Patriot League this year, and in their first season of conference play, they finished with a perfect 8-0 regular season record. They now get a bye to the semifinals, which they will also get to host next weekend at the Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore.

It’s Loyola’s first year in the Patriot League, and they’ve already secured the #1 seed and right to host the semifinals and finals for the league this postseason. Their latest W came over first year program Boston University. The Hounds took a 15-6 win over the Terriers in front of their home crowd fans, as the game was played a the Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore.
Loyola Beats Navy 7-6: GIF Save City
Loyola travelled to Annapolis to take on the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, and the Hounds emerged with a hard tough 7-6 Patriot League win, but it took two overtime periods to decide the winner. Both keepers saw some serious heat, and we’re rewarding them in GIF format for their excellent efforts.

Loyola takes down Lafayette 21-4, the Hounds are undefeated in Patriot League play, Justin Ward had 8 points, Joe Fletcher scored his first career goal, and we got some great college lacrosse game photos from Craig Chase. Plus a Fletcher goal GIF!

The Many Different Gloves of Loyola Lacrosse
While some teams put their players in a couple different helmet models (Duke uses Brine, old Warrior, and new Warrior helmets) that all look the same, the Loyola Hounds take a different approach. Every wears the exact same helmet, but when it comes to gloves… forget about it. Wear whatever you want!
