This past week saw everything whittled down to what we need for another epic Championship Weekend. We have a 50/50 chance at a new D1 or DIII champion, but a 100% chance at a new DII champ! The games top to bottom were excellent this weekend and it’s shaping up to be a full slate of fantastic games.
What a strange, strange week. This week was loaded with upsets, lopsided victories, and many people left scratching their heads. It also makes a perfectly ordered top 20 poll nearly impossible
This was a huge week for the old state freaks. Offense and faceoffs really dominated in a way that we haven’t been seeing recently. Well, faceoffs are always strong, but there were some angry players on offense this week.
Usually, the top 20 teams are relatively easy to figure out, with some tough decisions around 20. Right now, it’s not clear at all. I was talking to one fellow voter about this difficult situation, and they summed it up nicely. You’re forced to rate volume of wins against strength of schedule.
It’s back! Polls are fun to do, but it only gives you a chance to really look into what 20 or so teams are really up to at any given point. The Rundown pulls in a ton of information around the country for the D1 men’s game, just for you.

The Marquette Golden Eagles men’s lacrosse team is off to the program’s best start in their 3 year history. Already 5-0, 2015 marks the first time the team has ever won their opening game, had a winning record and obviously the first time with any sort of undefeated record.
