After almost four months of silence, Major League Lacrosse is somewhat back. The 2015 Supplemental Draft takes place this Wednesday, the Collegiate Draft follows just one month after that, and then we spend the following four months freaking out over how those picks are performing at their respective schools. MLL 2014 seems dead… but its not!

The lax world is talking about a new John Grant Jr MLL Record, and it has to do with him passing Kevin Leveille as the all-time leading goal scorer in Major League Lacrosse. Junior entered the game with 276 goals, and needed just one to tie Leveille at 277. Instead, John Grant Jr dropped four goals (and four assists!) to move to 280 total goals, and set a new MLL record.

Breaking Records: Leveille’s 271 Goals

The first double overtime in Major League Lacrosse history took place Thursday night in a matchup between the charged Rochester Rattlers and the buckled down Chesapeake Bayhawks. As if the back-and-forth momentum wasn’t exciting enough, Rattlers attackman Kevin Leveille earned yet another hat trick, scoring six goals in the last two games.

Ryan Powell On The Saratoga Shootout

Registration is now open for the second annual Saratoga Lacrosse Shootout. The 2014 Shootout features youth boys’ competition in grades 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and High School A and B divisions. Kevin Leveille currently has 261 goals in his Major League Lacrosse career. The all-time leading MLL goal scorer is Tim Goettelmann, who currently has 270 goals.
