Minnesota weather is by definition 'unpredictable' and that proved true on Saturday when the MSHSL Boys Lacrosse Championship game was postponed due to heavy rain and lightning. That meant the showdown between two of the top prep teams in the Midwest would have to wait. The game was then moved to Monday and again was postponed. Now the two teams are scheduled to meet on Tuesday.

At the beginning of the 2014 season, 67 Minnesota teams set out on a quest for one goal: to reach the state tournament and play for a championship. After section playoffs those 67 teams are now down to eight, which have advanced into the tourney scheduled for June 10-14. Games will be played at Chaska and Chanhassen High Schools.

Minnesota is on board, are you? If you read my last article about the Jr. NLL, you probably noticed the guys dressed in the yellow honey comb jerseys. That would be the Junior Swarm and although they haven’t been playing lacrosse indoors for very long, the instruction and commitment they have received from Aime Caines, Ryan Benesch and the rest of the Swarm organization, is what I believe rocketed them to the top.
