Adding Men’s Lacrosse? Not So Fast

After reading a recent Lax All Stars blog titled “Who Will Add D1 Lacrosse Next?” and the follow up post “Responding To Criticism From The Growth Blog”, Tony Lowe of Elev8 Sports Institute got to thinking of the reasons why big time sport schools, like Florida State and University of Florida, have not ventured into Men’s Lacrosse, while schools like Boston University, Richmond, Furman, Marquette, and Jacksonville have.

Responding To Criticism From The Growth Blog

Last week, I published an article by Brian Conlon of LaxKingsTV, where he listed out four NCAA D1 teams that he thought would add D1 men’s lacrosse in the next six years. This is an ambitious project for anyone to take on, and there are a number of different approaches one could take. The Growth Blog took issue with Brian’s approach, and even called our journalistic integrity into question, which quite truthfully, I appreciate.

Go Go Go Coaching: Lacrosse Vs Football

Kliff Kingsbury is now the youngest coach in the BCS, at only 33 years of age. He was the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M last year, and helped propel Johnny Manziel to a Heisman worthy season, so trusting his knowledge and approach should be a little easier, even if you’re an age-ist.

Low Final Four Lacrosse Attendance: ONE REASON

A big topic of discussion this Spring has been the relatively low attendance at the NCAA Quarterfinals, and Final Four weekend. The usual outlets are offering the usual banal reasons, but doing little to actually think about what is going wrong here.

Ridiculous Connor English Shovel Shot Goal

Sure, Cornell lost the game, but this shot is simply too remarkable not to watch over and over again. It’s called getting creative kids, and we love seeing stuff like this go down at the highest levels of the game!

Syracuse Vs Duke: Live Photos and Blog

Chris Rosenthall has been in Philly all weekend, taking in the games, and providing his thoughts on the weekend. Tommy Gilligan is in Philly shooting the D1 title game, and he got some amazing shots from Le Moyne’s D2, and Stevenson’s D3, title games yesterday.
