2016 academic requirements changes are here! While these rules don’t change constantly, when they do, high school athletes really need to pay attention.
If you’re a dedicated lacrosse player, odds are you’re putting in a decent amount of time on the wall. You’ll probably be scooping the occasional groundball off the pavement or hard packed dirt. These rough surfaces will eventually take a toll on your scoop and topstring. In order to keep your topstring from completely fraying and giving out on you, we have a great little Lax Hack from Justin at Stylin Strings.
Our friends at Stylin Strings posted this awesome photo on Instagram, and it was too good not to share. I’m not sure where the Stylin guys are traveling to, but you can’t go wrong with your favorite lacrosse stick and a Batman backpack.
StylinStrings caught up with three of the Thompson brothers up in Syracuse at the Wooden Stick Expo last month. The guys talk about their wooden sticks, the history of the game, and what it was like to see the documentary, The Medicine Game, unfold before their eyes.
StylinStrings made the trek up to Syracuse, NY for the first ever Wooden Stick Expo. The SS guys put together a fantastic video showcasing some of the top notch stuff going down. Looks like it was one heck of an experience!
We wanted to thank the guys over at StylinStrings for putting up this video supporting our #StringItForward Membership campaign. They presented a great testimonial that shows how important stringing, and giving back to the greater community, can be.
Stylin Strings made a trip to visit Alfie Jacques, up on the Onondaga lands, and their first video documenting the trip is slated to drop on the lacrosse world on Sunday, September 1st. This first video will cover Jacques’ motives for making wooden sticks, as well as the meaning of his art.
Today, at 2PM ET, LaxAllStars will be hosting a LIVE Google Hangout on the subject of stringing, traditional, mesh, and how it can all impact your game! Our knowledgeable guests will include Greg Kenneally (of East Coast Dyes), Joe Williams (of Throne of String), and Justin Skaggs (of Stylin Strings)!
Stylin Strings sent over an LAS-themed mini stick, complete with a pita pocket, and I love that mini sticks are getting the traditional love.
When James Pannell wasn’t coaching kids, or playing a vicious game of P-I-G against his brother, Rob, he was getting peppered by questions from yours truly. This time around I asked James about his custom UVA dye, his pocket, and how he and his classmates adjusted to the new college rules, including the 2010 heads, and 2013 stringing rules.
Stylin’ Strings sat down with MLL and NLL star Kevin Crowley to talk lacrosse, stringing, and how/why Kevin decided to learn how to string his own wand.
The Lacrosse Drop is back on Sunday as a recurring feature: One post, tons of information, photos and video. It’s a can’t miss piece of top shelf content!
