Tufts lost 15-9 to Stevenson, and only beat Keene State by 1 goal (17-16), but other than that, they have been crushing opponents. Early Men’s D3 Lacrosse Preview
Last year was a very exciting year in Division 3 men’s lacrosse, with Stevenson winning their first ever championship. Aurora College in Colorado made their first NCAA tournament, and won a game. RIT beat Cortland with a hidden ball trick, and Salisbury was finally dethroned as the most dominant team in the South, if only for a season. As fall ball and training continues to roll, here’s a look at some of the top teams from last year, as well as a couple potential dark horses for 2014.

Awesome Tufts Helmet Cam Video
Tufts Alumni came together for a day of lacrosse at last weekend’s CityLax Southampton Shootout, and they threw a GoPro on former All-American defender Eytan Saperstein’s helmet and recorded their game against an amalgamated UVA/Hopkins/Harvard alumni squad.

Kliff Kingsbury is now the youngest coach in the BCS, at only 33 years of age. He was the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M last year, and helped propel Johnny Manziel to a Heisman worthy season, so trusting his knowledge and approach should be a little easier, even if you’re an age-ist.
Wesleyan Knocks Off #7 Tufts 8-7
Tufts took an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter over Wesleyan, but the Cardinals fought back and ended up winning a tight game, 8-7, in regulation.
