LIFE. LIBERTY. LACROSSE.  There is no disputing that the State of New York is a hotbed for lacrosse (editor’s note: there are over 100 public high schools with lacrosse programs on the approx. 100 mile stretch of Long Island alone). In fact, due to the popularity of lacrosse in the Empire State, it is often […]

One Slippery Game of Box Lacrosse

ULax’s NYC box lacrosse league is going strong throughout the Winter, and we played this past weekend even though the sport court floor we use was just a little wet and slippery. Lots of guys fell over (as in everyone fell at least once), we got the games in, and had some fun. Now you get to see us slip and fall all over the place, because why not?

NYC Box Lacrosse Video: Week 2

NYC Box lacrosse week 2

LaxAllStars.com, led by Billy Nguyen, Joe Barile, John Ray, and Justin Otto moved to 2-0 with a tight 11-10 win over Rudy Martinez’ Brooklyn Dodgers squad. Jeff Melnik, the creator of the video, is Brooklyn’s goalie. The Gotham Goats moved to 1-1 with a win over Team America, who drops to 0-2 early in the year.

NYC Box Lacrosse – Week 1

LaxAllStars.com got back on track with a win during week one of ULax’s outdoor Winter box lacrosse league in Manhattan. The website’s squad took down Team America (although with a name like that, winning made us feel awful) with relative ease, but it was really encouraging to see so many new faces to box lacrosse from the fine fellows in blue. I’d expect this team to improve greatly as the Winter season rolls along.
